MORE THAN LUCK FOR ISP DUX Last night’s Australasian Promotional Marketing Association (APMA) graduation ceremony was particularly exciting for Tamara Pintov of messagemedia. With events held in Sydney and Melbourne, Tamara was named the Australasian Dux of the APMA Institute of Sales Promotion (ISP) Diploma in Promotional Marketing. As well as the recognition associated with taking top honours, Tamara won an all expenses paid trip to the UK courtesy of Free-2-Travel. For some well earned relaxation, Tamara will enjoy a trip of a lifetime to London where she will collect her graduation certificate from the UK ISP graduation ceremony to be held at the House of Commons on 29th October, 2008. “We’re delighted to hear that Tamara has duxed her ISP course, but we’re not overly surprised. Her passion, commitment and intelligence are on display every day here at messagemedia, and I knew she’d tackle her studies in the exact same way. Tamara’s an integral part of our team, and we’re pleased to see her prodigious talent recognised in this way. She’s a deserving winner,” said Dimitri Tsitsikas, Director of Promotions at messagemedia. “Since its launch in 2005, enrolments in the APMA ISP course have grown steadily with record numbers received in the 2008 intake. Although the ISP Diploma is offered exclusively through APMA it is great to see talent from our related companies and suppliers taking up the course and even winning Dux as Tamara has done this year,” said Kylie Green, APMA Chairperson. “Reflecting the progressive nature of the industry and the importance of interactivity, in 2009 the APMA ISP Diploma will be renamed the APMA ISP Diploma in Promotional and Interactive Marketing including some exciting new modules,” said Kylie. “We currently operate in tough market conditions in the promotional marketing industry. This is a period when historically the promotions industry comes into its own for those smart enough to recognise the opportunity. The really smart promotion professionals make sure that they have the ISP qualifications as a testament to being just that much smarter. So get smart - get qualified - get paid more - enjoy the market opportunity,” said Colin Lloyd, President of the ISP, Former President of the DMA and founder of KLP. The four month part-time online course provides an intensive introduction to promotional and interactive marketing in Australasia and is offered in conjunction with the ISP course in the UK. Running from March to July, 2009 the internationally acclaimed course covers the role of promotional and interactive marketing, techniques, codes and legalities and project management. Registrations for the 2009 APMA ISP Diploma in Promotional and Interactive Marketing are now open with the closing date 30th January, 2009.
